As part of the Project Lead the Way senior curriculum at C-A BOCES' Ellicottville Career and Technical Center, students are assigned to pick a product that they could improve or design a new product for the consumer market.  Franklinville student Jeff Schley did just that.

He envisioned a device for the gaming market that would attach to a controller and securely hold a canned beverage that is within easy reach of the gamer.

Jeff used Autodesk Inventor computer software to design his product, and used the 3D Rapid prototyping machine to build it.  He documented it from inception to production in an engineering log, and will now focus on testing and design improvement.
