K-8 What is a Roamer? Roamers are used to bring technology into any curriculum area. What can a Roamer do? These robotic devices can be programmed to move backwards and forwards, turn at different angles, play music, wait in one spot for a specified amount of time, and repeat commands that are given. Can a Roamer save the teacher time? Yes, Roamer does save teacher time. Students can use the roamer to learn a variety of mathematical concepts. These concepts range from learning the number line to geometric shapes. What is included in the Roamer kit? The Roamer kits come with two roamers, four batteries, two battery chargers, a teacher's manual, markers, and the Roamer World computer program. The computer program can be installed on your computer, and students can use the program to write procedures that can be downloaded to the Roamers.
