Assessment Kits

Students will rotate through stations that help assess a student’s level of knowledge and understanding after completing the second grade science kits. Special emphasis is placed on observing, classifying, manipulating, measuring, communicating, and collecting data.

** One Assessment kit will be provided per school and should be shared by all second grade level teachers in the building. Shipment will begin in April.

Students will rotate through stations that help assess a student’s level of knowledge and understanding after completing the third grade science kits. Special emphasis is placed on observing, classifying, manipulating, measuring, communicating, and collecting data.

** One Assessment kit will be provided per school and should be shared by all third grade level teachers in the building. Shipment will begin in May.

During this assessment, students will rotate through station tasks. The assessment tasks help determine a student’s level of knowledge and understanding after completing the Cattaraugus/Allegany BOCES fourth grade science kits. Special emphasis is placed on the skills of observing, classifying, manipulating, communicating, and collecting data.
