Teacher Job Fair - General Information

PLEASE NOTE: ALL POSITIONS ARE ANTICIPATED FOR THE 2012-13 SCHOOL YEAR AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE!!

How do I register for this event?

You must register online by following these instructions.

How will I know if I can attend?

If you have been selected by one or more of the school districts for an interview, you will receive an e-mail between May 4, 2012 and May 8, 2012 notifying you of the district(s) you will be interviewing with and the time(s) of the interview(s).

Cancellations

If you can not or decide not to attend your scheduled interview(s), please have the courtesy to contact us about your cancellation.  You may e-mail or call Marcia Phillips at 716-376-8209.

Arrival Time

Please arrive at least one half (1/2) hour before your first scheduled interview.

Parking

Parking is available in the front parking lot of the Olean BOCES Center.

Upon Arrival

Enter the Olean BOCES Center at the main doors (where the flag is). BOCES personnel will be on hand to direct you to the registration area.

What should I bring?

Bring a sufficient number of copies of your resume; proof of certification or letter of qualification from your school of graduation.

Interviews

Interviews will be pre-scheduled. Please keep track of all scheduled interviews.  Interviews will be scheduled for 20 minute periods.
Please note that these interviews are just initial screening interviews. Second interviews will be scheduled by the school districts at their facility.

Certification Specialist

The Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES Certification Specialist will be on hand to answer any of your teacher certification questions.

Refreshments

Coffee and cookies will be provided for the candidate in the waiting area.

Lunch

You will be provided with a map designating the various restaurants and fast-food establishments in the local area.
