Lead IT Conference InformationOn July 26th we held the Lead IT conference for school and district leaders. The following resources are from the Inquiry and Data Driven Instruction session. Driven by Data: A Practical Guide to Improve Instruction Currently ReadingAt the June S/CDN meeting it was announced that Driven by Data: A Pracitcal Guide to Improve Instruction would be a resource used for training the Network Teams in Albany in August and throughout the 2011-12 school year. This 2010 book by Paul Bambrick-Santoyo focuses on assessment, analysis, and action for school improvement. Stay tuned for future announcements regarding work around this book.
Data Coach Book StudyAs you know the Inquiry Team approach is another expectation of RTTT. Tim Clarke will lead a book study of The Data Coach's Guide to Improving Learning for All Students: Unleashing the Power of Collaborative Inquiry, by Nancy Love. The text was distributed during the December Curriculum Meeting with the promise that we would facilitate a series of discussions. Most sessions are short (one hour) and via Adobe Connect Conferencing Software (meaning you can attend from your own desktop computer). The first meeting is February 14th from 3 to 4 p.m. Anyone you see fit is welcome to attend virtual sessions. Register with Laurie Sledge ( laurie_sledge@caboces.org or 716-376-8357).
