OSHA recommends Outreach Training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of the job. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach DOL course completion card. New York State recently adopted a Bill in the State Legislature that requires contractors working on public works projects, to which the State or any municipality is the party owner, must have their entire workforce trained in the OSHA 10-hour Construction Outreach Training Program. The Bill (No. A02721A) requires public work projects exceeding $250K in total contract work, to contain provisions which require all workers to have completed the OSHA 10-hour Construction Outreach Training Course prior to going to work on the public works project on or after July 18, 2008. Lunch is on your own. This course can be taught on a Friday & Saturday or two Saturdays; whichever is more convenient for everyone. Scheduled Classes
